Earlier today, the Director General of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), Eric Nana Agyemang Prempeh, distributed some relief items to Bono East Regional minister for onward distribution to victims of the recent spillage.
This first trench of items are part of efforts being made as part of measures to relieve the people in the region following the spillage.
The items were received by the regional minister,mmdce’s, regional and District Directors and staff of NADMO.
The items included various food items, buckets, mosquito coils, clothing, blankets among others.
He noted, that while efforts are being intensified to do more to restore the lives of the affected back to normal, these interim measures are ways to mitigate the seeming dangers associated with the floods.
