The completion of the 33.4-kilometer Ofankor-Nsawam rehabilitation project within the allotted 24-month period has been questioned by the Minority in Parliament.
The 3 interchange, 341 million cedi road project is being worked on by contractors Messrs. Maripoma Enterprise.
The 24-month period is all political talk, according to Kwame Governs Agbodza, ranking member of the roads and transport committee, who visited the project on Wednesday, November 23.
The committee’s chairman has applauded the government for awarding the contract to a local business.
“With regard to the timetable, it aims to accomplish a political goal prior to 2024.
“We shouldn’t try to finish the project quickly to meet a deadline.
“They must perform a proper job, and I think it will be challenging to execute the project completely within the 24 months.”
