Former president John Mahama joined the Muslim brothers and sisters at the Akweteman mosque in the Okaikoi North Constituency to break the fast, a deeply spiritual and important time.
He was appreciative of the chance to take part in this unique custom.
It’s crucial to consider the meaning of Ramadan as the end of the month draws near.

“Ramadan is a time for self-reflection, increased devotion, acts of charity and compassion, and seeking forgiveness for our sins” he said.
“It is also a time to practice self-discipline and self-control. While observing the Ramadan fast, I hope it will remind us of the importance of empathy, kindness, and understanding towards one another.” he added.

“In Ghana’s diverse and multicultural society, we must embrace religious tolerance and respect each other’s beliefs and traditions. I am committed to promoting unity and understanding among all Ghanaians, regardless of faith or background” he reiterated.
“Let us use this holy month as an opportunity to unite, break down prejudices and celebrate the values that unite us as a nation” he urged

“To everyone who is observing the fast, Ramadan Mubarak!”
“May this month bring blessings, peace, and prosperity to you and your families” he concluded
