To challenge the long-standing dominance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the Movement for Change (MFC) leader and independent presidential candidate for the 2024 general elections will unveil the Alliance For Revolutionary Change (ARC) on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

Together with the National Interest Movement (NIM), which is headed by Dr. Michael Abu Sakara Foster, a former Convention People’s Party flagbearer, this effort is being launched (CPP).

After lengthy negotiations with NIM, ARC was established with the intention of forming a broad alliance in favor of Ghana’s first independent presidential candidate in the country’s democratic history.

The ARC pledged in a statement dated April 4, 2024, and signed by Mr. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen to vigorously mobilize Ghanaians nationwide, especially women and young, irrespective of their political, religious, or ethnic affiliations.

If voted to power, the ARC seeks to combat poverty and put Ghana on a new course toward wealth.

By breaking the NDC and NPP’s political duopoly, the coalition hopes to expose their inability to confront the nation’s basic development issues during their combined 32 years in power.

The ARC commits to forming an inclusive national unity government with participation from business, labor unions, farmers, fishers, faith-based organizations, and political parties.

It also seeks to create a national development strategy that goes beyond conventional political platform growth.
