Gov’t has until May 31st, according to CETAG, to rectify their service conditions

The government has been given a deadline by the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) to resolve the working circumstances of its members.

The association asks the government to address its grievances by Friday, May 31, 2024, in response to its unhappiness with the government’s tardiness in implementing the negotiated service conditions and arbitral award orders issued by the National Labour Commission (NLC).

CETAG’s demands include paying each member one month’s salary for any extra work completed in 2022, in addition to other outstanding matters.

On Monday, April 22, 2024, Dr. Prince Obeng-Himah, the National President of CETAG, stressed the pressing nature of their demands while speaking to media in Accra.

He emphasized that the group will investigate other options if their issues are not resolved by the deadline.
