On Saturday, August 31, 2024, free medical screenings will be provided for two electoral regions in the La Dadekotopon Constituency by Joseph Kwashie Addo, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the constituency.
The film was screened simultaneously at Lante George Family House and the Epiphany Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Kaajaano, which is located in the South La Estates, especially Fisheries and its surroundings.
In a media interview, First Vice Chairman of the Constituency Isaac Odoi stated that the primary goal of the PC is to enhance the health status of the people in his constituency. He cited the recent Homowo Festival, which attracted tourists to the area, as examples of how certain people may be at risk for health problems as a result of climate change.
Mr. Odoi added that one can get typhoid and other illnesses as a result of the cases mentioned.
The goal is to reduce and stop the spread of these diseases inside the constituency, even if the La General Hospital is still being built.
A group of physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and consultants from Diplomatic Patriot Health Group performed the screening.
Speaking with a physician from the medical staff, he expressed his happiness with the large turnout and well-behaved people.
“The residents are interacting with each other, which makes our job much easier. Dr. Asare Boateng said, “They are answering all questions and the turnout is larger than expected. Usually, people don’t really show up like what I’ve witnessed today for free health screenings.”
The attendees said they were taken aback when given their drugs following the exam because they had been informed that, in most situations, they would need to buy the medications on their own from the pharmacy.
Georgina Badu, a different constituent, praised the PC and his team for providing free screenings and medications to all of the constituents, regardless of political membership.
In addition to being checked for typhoid, malaria, blood pressure, blood sugar, body mass index, and blood level, attendees were also given access to medications such lethalin, ascorbin vitamin C, amoxicillin, and benylin.
In the meantime, the PC has conducted multiple free health screenings in the constituency’s other electoral regions.
