Ahead of the December 7, 2024, elections, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) vice presidential candidate, will embark on a two-day campaign tour of the Upper West Region, today, Tuesday in an effort to garner support for John Dramani Mahama, the party’s presidential candidate, and its parliamentary candidates.
In Wa Central, Lambussie, Nandom, Lawra, and Sissala, among other important constituencies, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang is anticipated to interact with voters during her tour.
She will present the party’s commitment to tackling issues that impact locals, like jobs, education, and women’s economic development, as well as the NDC’s vision.
She will continue her campaign activities in the Northern Region on Thursday after wrapping up her trip in the Upper West Region on Wednesday.
This visit comes after Prof. Opoku-Agyemang recently toured the North East and Savannah Regions, where she urged voters to back Mr. Mahama and the NDC in order to “fix the mess” that she says the current Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration has created.
As a leader dedicated to sustainable development and the welfare of all Ghanaians, she urged people to support Mr. Mahama, highlighting the NDC’s intentions to enhance education and generate jobs.
