Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has positioned himself as the visionary leader who will steer Ghana toward prosperity in the future. He has contrasted his progressive agenda with what he has described as the antiquated leadership of former President John Dramani Mahama.

During the NPP’s last rally before the general elections on December 7, Dr. Bawumia presented the election as a crucial choice for the future of the country.

Supporters erupted in cheers as he declared, “This election is a clear choice between the future and the past. My opponent represents the past, and I, Dr Bawumia, represent the future of this country.”

Dr. Bawumia emphasized the significance of continuity in the revolutionary policies of the NPP, which he claimed were centered on long-term development and innovation.

“So, the choice that we have on Saturday, as we go to vote, is whether we want to go forward into the future or backwards into the past. A mindset of possibilities underpins us in the NPP and the work that we have done,” he said.

The NPP flagbearer reaffirmed the party’s dedication to establishing Ghana as a developed country with a foundation of audacious reforms and forward-thinking policies.

Dr. Bawumia went on to urge voters to back the NPP’s plan for long-term progress and prosperity, saying, “We believe that it is possible to transform this country into an advanced nation.”
