Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, Ghana’s finance minister, has urged the Ministry of Finance’s employees to work together to rebuild the nation’s economy.
He made this request on Thursday, January 23, 2025, during his first meeting with the Ministry’s top management following his inauguration by President John Dramani Mahama and approval by Parliament.
Accompanied by former Deputy Finance Minister Fifi Kwetey, Dr. Ato Forson thanked Ghana for the chance to serve once more, calling it a privilege.
He declared, “We are here to work together to improve the lives of Ghanaians, and we will always consider their needs in our decisions.”
The Minister listed his top priorities, which include lowering inflation, stabilizing the exchange rate, creating jobs, and prudently managing the nation’s budget.
He underlined that these are crucial actions in resolving Ghana’s economic issues.
Dr. Ato Forson’s pledge indicates a targeted strategy for reestablishing the country’s economic stability, and the Ministry’s employees are urged to work together to accomplish these objectives.
