Rexford Kwadwo Adu Ntim, also known as DJ K.A., is suspended by Kessben Media, the company that runs Kessben FM, after an intimate video went viral on social media.

An internal investigation into the incident has also been started by the company.

The management of Kessben Media announced in a statement released on July 24, 2026, that it “does not condone such acts” and distanced its brand from the employee’s behaviour.

In order to help DJ K.A. deal with the resulting trauma, the company revealed that he has been asked to remain off duty during the inquest and that he will receive therapy, rehabilitation, and legal assistance as needed.

Citing cybersecurity concerns and current regulations controlling the ownership and dissemination of such materials, the media outlet further urged the public to abstain from disseminating the sensitive content.

The corporation has promised the public that anyone found to be involved in the matter will not be protected by the company.

According to sources in Kumasi, the management of Kessben received a pendrive that contained multiple private, intimate videos of DJ K.A., apart from those that had already gone viral on social media. As a result, the management decided that the DJ would take a temporary leave of absence from work.

DJ K.A. had previously apologised in public, accepting full responsibility for the video’s filming but disputing that he had purposefully shared it.

“I take full responsibility for my actions. Recording the video was a serious error in judgment, and I deeply regret the decision that led to this unfortunate incident,” he stated.

He also requested his family, fans, and the public for forgiveness, calling the video a “part of my past” that was shot four years ago.

Ama Parone, a radio host from Kumasi who has been connected to the video, has also publicly apologised, acknowledging that she appears in it but characterising it as a part of a history she is not proud of.

She also talked positively of DJ K.A., calling him a mentor who helped shape her career and expressing optimism that he would come out stronger from the incident.
