Former NSS Deputy Director, Kwaku Ohene Gyan is picked up by NIB

Kwaku Ohene Gyan (Osonoba), a former Deputy Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS), has been arrested by the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) for allegedly being involved in the payroll fraud and ghost names controversy.

While resolving payment arrears, the Finance Ministry recently revealed that it had found at least 80,000 ghost names on the scheme’s payroll.

According to 3News, Mr. Ohene Gyan’s arrest on Saturday, February 22, 2025, indicates the start of a larger crackdown and the capture of his accomplices in the days ahead.
