Isaac Adongo, the member of parliament for Bolgatanga Central, has stated that if President John Mahama had offered him a deputy ministerial job, he would have accepted it.

In an interview with Ekosii Sen of Asempa FM, Mr. Adongo discussed his hopes for a ministerial job in the incoming administration.

“I was really expecting to be made a minister, however, the advisors of the President thought I was above the position of Deputy Minister, but I would have accepted the role if Prez John Mahama had offered it to me.” he stated.

His comments imply that although he had great hopes for a ministerial position, he was willing to serve in any role the president thought fit.

Discussions concerning the selection procedure for government personnel and the function of presidential advisors in influencing leadership choices have been spurred by Mr. Adongo’s remarks.

The Bolgatanga Central MP reiterated his dedication to backing President Mahama’s administration in spite of not being appointed as a minister.

For the benefit of Ghanaians, he stated his willingness to support national development and strive toward achieving the goals of government policy.
