H.E. Imane Ouaadil, Morocco’s ambassador to Ghana, made a courtesy call to Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP), the Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the Ministry’s Accra headquarters.
The purpose of the meeting was to explore opportunities for further cooperation and to reaffirm the two countries’ strong diplomatic ties.

Ambassador Ouaadil stressed the longstanding custom of Ghana and Morocco supporting one another at the conference.
She asked Ghana for support in Morocco’s reelection to the African Union Security Council and conveyed Morocco’s gratitude for Ghana’s involvement in the Atlantic Countries Initiative.
Engaging with Sahelian states was another topic of discussion, and the ambassador emphasized the importance of their reintegration into the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
By announcing a substantial increase in Moroccan scholarships for Ghanaian students from 90 to 180, she further demonstrated Morocco’s dedication to academic cooperation and the strengthening of connections between the two nations.
The reactivation of the Ghana-Morocco Permanent Joint Commission for Cooperation (PJCC), which was last met in 2018, was another important subject.

Hon. Ablakwa emphasized the importance of strengthening economic cooperation and commerce between the two nations.
Morocco’s comparative advantage in fertilizer and seedling production made it possible for it to provide technical assistance in carrying out Ghana’s agribusiness program.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening diplomatic and economic relationships, developing thriving trade partnerships, and promoting shared interests on regional and global stages as the conference came to an end.
