Reverend John Ntim Fordjour, the Assin South Member of Parliament, has promised to make shocking revelations about the ongoing cocaine crisis that has rocked the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government led by John Dramani Mahama.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, Reverend Fordjour urged the NDC government to be open and honest about the scandal. He threatened to reveal facts that might topple the Mahama administration if it did not offer definitive answers.

The Narcotics Control Commission’s (NACOC) initial field testing verified the substance’s identity as cocaine.

On its way to Accra, the tipper truck was stopped at Pedu Junction in Cape Coast, Central Region.

About 120 slabs of cocaine, worth an estimated $150 million on the black market, were found by the NIB on the Takoradi-Cape Coast highway on March 4, 2025.

Wrapped in green plastic bags, the drugs were discovered hidden inside a Hogvan truck.

The truck driver was taken into custody after the bust, while the other conspirators were still at large.

According to reports, the two dubious airlines were in the nation to airlift the cocaine abroad.

Accordingly, Rev. Ntim Fordjour stated that the NDC needs to be honest and answer important issues like:

1. Who was the patient that the aircraft was supposedly in Ghana to transport? The standard protocol in such cases is to dispatch a replacement air ambulance, not another aircraft carrying spare parts and mechanics.

2. The aircraft landed only to change tires, so where was it originally headed?

3. So, the tire problem was discovered mid-air? And it had to be changed because the plane would otherwise have been unable to land? If so, how was it able to land in Ghana?

4. If the aircraft could land in Ghana despite the issue, then why couldn’t it land safely at its final destination without the stopover in Ghana?

As Ghanaian authorities look into allegations made by the nation’s minority MPs, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) has said it is keeping a careful eye on the situation.

The MPs had claimed that Ghana was utilized as a transit center for organized crime by two planes suspected of carrying cash and cocaine.

The host of Joy FM’s premier news analysis program, Newsfile, Sampson Lardi Ayenini, has received a strong request from Rev. Ntim Fordjour to explain the source of the text messages that were read on the program last Saturday.

He claimed that the responses mainly rejected his recent exposé as lies intended to damage the existing government.

He maintained that the messages were fake additions meant to undermine his disclosures rather than genuine representations of popular opinion.

The MP went on to say that the show’s producer confirmed his concerns, denying sending the host any such texts. This was revealed by Rev. Fordjour in a Facebook post.

He also hinted that, contrary to what the presenter has been saying, he never left the show.

“Sampson Lardi Ayenini only booked me for a segment on the show and so after that segment when the show had gone on break I left only to be told later that the host had mischievously announced that I walked out,” Rev. Fordjour reiterated.

After revealing that two foreign aircraft, AirMed Flight N823AM and the Cavok Antonov 12VK, were present on Ghanaian soil under mysterious circumstances, the lawmaker has drawn harsh criticism, especially from opposition NDC communicators.

Given the seriousness of his claims, President Mahama has directed national security organizations to collaborate closely with the MP in order to conduct a thorough investigation and take the appropriate action.

Leading NDC figures, such as Felix Kwakye Ofosu and Sammy Gyamfi, attacked the MP harshly over the weekend in an attempt to undermine the exposé and lessen its political impact.

They charged Rev. Fordjour with masterminding the disclosures as a component of a larger plot to damage the government’s reputation.

But according to Rev. Fordjour, Sampson Lardi Ayenini might have sided with the opposition’s propaganda.

He had a suspicion that the contentious texts were written with the intention of undermining his reputation on a national scale.
