The ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development elected Ato Forson as its chairman.

Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the Finance Minister of Ghana, has been chosen Chairman of the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) Board of Governors.

The statement was made at the Board of Governors’ 23rd Annual General Meeting, which took place in Banjul, Gambia.

Despite Dr. Forson’s inability to physically attend the meeting, Thomas Nyarko Ampem, the Deputy Minister for Finance, persuasively conveyed his message of gratitude and vision.

Beginning with a heartfelt greeting from the Ghanaian government and people, Hon. Ampem conveyed Dr. Forson’s profound humility and gratitude for the honor conferred upon him.

He affirmed Ghana’s steadfast devotion to the EBID purpose while acknowledging the enormous responsibility that accompanies the position.
