The Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Yusif Sulemana, chaired a meeting with the heads and deputies of the communication units of the various agencies under the Ministry on Monday, May 5, 2025, in an effort to promote collaboration, clarity of purpose, and improve the Ministry’s reputation.
The purpose of the meeting, which took place at the ministry, was to provide the Deputy Minister and the recently hired Chief Director a chance to discuss with the heads of the communication unit how to protect the ministry’s reputation through a coordinated, efficient, and cooperative communication plan.

Mr. Innocent Haligah, the ministry’s acting chief director, emphasized in his welcome remarks the pressing necessity for all agencies to create a documented communication strategy in order to fill in communication gaps, improve the agencies’ and the ministry’s reputations, and successfully inform the public about its policies and programs.
Speaking to the personnel, Hon. Alhaji Sulemana Yusif, the Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, emphasized the need for greater unity and cohesiveness among them in order to guarantee efficient communication within their agencies as well as throughout the Ministry.
In order to clarify responsibilities, avoid disputes, and lessen potentially contentious topics, he promoted the creation of explicit structures inside the communication units.
“The call today is that we form a stronger team and create a positive image for our ministry, as it is one of the ministries that interacts with the public daily. Let’s be orderly, and let each of us understand our roles,” he urged.
Hon. Yusif Sulemana urged the workers to accept the government’s vision and direction and to refrain from engaging in partisan politics in their work, reminding them of their responsibility to serve the country.

He underlined that the ministry, led by Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, is working to resuscitate the sector through a revolutionary agenda, and all employees need to support this reset effort.
“We have one country we are supposed to serve—one Ghana. We can’t all belong to one political party, but we all belong to one nation, Ghana,” he stressed.
To enable smooth coordination and successful PR efforts across all ministry agencies, he urged for a coordinated and planned communication policy.
He also urged employees to form bonds with one another and continuously exchange information and skills in order to keep any agency from functioning independently, emphasizing that cooperation is essential to accomplishing individual and corporate goals.
Mawusi Mawuenyefia, the director of communications, reaffirmed the Deputy Minister’s message and exhorted the PR teams to emphasize cooperation and a coordinated strategy in their communications.
“Our strength lies in our ability to work together—sharing insights, supporting each other’s initiatives, and presenting a cohesive narrative to the public. Let’s leverage our collective expertise to amplify the ministry’s impact,” she added.
