Victoria Dapaah, popularly known as Maadwoa in Adum-Kumsi, was allegedly assassinated by Inspector Ahmed Twumasi for reasons that he has now disclosed.
She owed Ahmed Twumasi GH5,000, and he has claimed that’s why he shot her. The prosecution’s paper, which was read out in open court on Tuesday, April 25, contained this information.
At the Asokore Mampong District Court, it was a difficult day because police needed help to transport Inspector Ahmed Twumasi out of the building.
To see proceedings, hundreds flocked to the Asokore Mampong District Court. Murder charges have been brought against Inspector Twumsi.
The offender used a service handgun to carry out the heinous deed, it was also demonstrated in court.
Inspector Twumasi responded, “I have no desire to do the crime; what happened is between me and God,” when the judge asked if he had anything to say despite preventing him from entering a plea of guilty or not.
He has been kept in police custody and is scheduled to show up again on Tuesday, May 30.
