Kojo Bonsu, a flagbearer candidate for the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has supported Dr. Kwabena Duffuor’s call for the May 13 presidential and parliamentary primaries to be postponed.

Concerned about the electoral album, Dr. Duffour applied for an order at the Accra High Court to halt the polls.

The former governor of the Bank of Ghana is requesting a number of reliefs, including a declaration that the party’s photo album register is inaccurate and incomplete, and that the party be ordered to create and deliver an accurate photo album register to each presidential candidate at least five weeks before the election to allow for the verification of the photo album register that is required.

Mr. Kojo Bonsu claimed that Dr. Duffuor’s doubts put him in good company. “This is not a fight,” Mr. Bonsu said, “they have to correct it and they have to postpone the date of the election and rectify it.”

Former President John Dramani Mahama is competing with Mr. Kojo Bonsu and Dr. Kwabena Duffuor for the job of NDC flagbearer ahead of the 2024 elections.
