The Special Support Unit received intelligence indicating that suspect Newton Allotey, who was purportedly among the armed thugs that besieged the Palace of the Chief of Omanjor and managed to kill three people while injuring roughly forty-nine others, is in hiding in Dansoman.
At around 1:00 am on September 1, 2025, four (4) Unit teams, acting on intelligence, went to Dansoman’s final stop and took suspect Newton Allotey into custody at his hiding place.
18 expended BB cartridges were found when he was searched. The suspect is presently being held and aiding with the investigation.

To aid investigations, great efforts are being made to arrest additional suspects whose identities are known.
