A seven-member group to privatize ECG has been established by the Energy and Green Transition Minister.

The Minister of Energy and Green Transition John Jinapor has inaugurated a seven member committee to advice on a roadmap for the privitisation of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).

The minister charged the committee, which is chaired by Jabesh Amissah-Arthur, former CEO of Bui Power Authority to ensure a financial sustainable model, which will guarantee the efficiency of the power distribution sector, including the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo).
