The Ghanaian government plans to issue a 7-year cedi-denominated bond on March 30, 2026.

On the same day, it hopes to launch the book building and implement preliminary pricing advice.

The government is issuing a bond denominated in cedi for the first time since 2022, following the end of the 2023 restrictions on the Domestic Debt Exchange Program.

According to the document, the government plans to publish the anticipated interest payment on the bond on April 1, 2026, and the settlement is scheduled for April 7, 2026.

A minimum bid of GH¢ 50,000 is permitted for investors who wish to take part in the sale. Both local and foreign investors will be able to purchase the bond.

The government intends to finance some projects in the 2026 budget with money from the bond.
