Passport applications that remain unfinished for longer than two months after submission will be immediately cancelled, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Incomplete applications include those that need additional screening, the provision of supporting documentation, incomplete biometric registration, or awaiting biometric recapture, according to a statement released by the Ministry on Friday in Accra.
It further stated, “Passport applicants are hereby informed that fees paid in respect of such applications are non-refundable and affected individuals will be required to start a new application process including the payment of applicable fees.”
It stated that the 24-Hour Call Center at 0302 754 200 could provide more information.
The Ministry claims that in order to prevent cancellations, the general public is urged to finish applications on time.
