Dr Isaac Bampoe Addo, the Executive Secretary of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG), has passed away.
Sources close to Citi News confirmed that Dr Bampoe Addo died on Friday, August 21, 2026, following a brief illness.
Dr Bampoe Addo was a prominent figure in Ghana’s public sector labour movement and played an important role in CLOGSAG’s negotiations with the government. During his tenure, he was actively involved in discussions on workers’ conditions of service, industrial actions and other key labour-related matters.
As Executive Secretary, he also contributed significantly to the development of CLOGSAG’s institutional policies while advocating for the rights and welfare of civil and local government workers.
