The Coalition of Muslim Organization of Ghana (COMOG) has congratulated the legislators who are also the bill’s sponsors on their victories in the recently concluded NDC parliamentary primaries.
Six of the seven MPs who ran in the parliamentary primaries, according to a statement from COMOG, were elected. “The six winners’ retention demonstrates the trust Ghanaians have in the MPs who have denounced the practice of LGBTQ+ in Ghana.
Additionally, it shows that more than 95% of citizens reject the legalization of same-sex unions.
This must convey to the proponents and practitioners of this repulsive agenda our determination to oppose them vehemently as Ghanaians, it read.
It asked MPs to keep up the good work of safeguarding kids and cultural norms. The statement continued, “We still appreciate Mr. Dela Sowah’s effort despite his loss in the parliamentary primary; we wish you better luck next time.”
