Three people have died in Adukrom-Akuapim in the Eastern Region as a result of an accident that happened at Adukrom.
On May 16, 2023, a Tuesday, the disaster happened close to the Water Works Junction. It involved a KIA truck and a tricycle known as “Aboboya” in popular culture.
While descending from Adukrom to Aseseeso, the Aboboya carrying concrete demarcation pillars suffered a brake failure and crashed into the truck that was moving in the opposite direction.
Two passengers on board the Aboboya passed away instantly, leaving eight others injured. Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital, however, was the site of the trike rider’s passing.
