GH₵3,576,600 and US$20,000 have been donated to the Children Support Fund, which was established for the benefit of children who lost their parents in the helicopter disaster on August 6, according to the Presidency.
On Friday, August 29, 2025, the update was released, stating that the sum reflects donations made between August 19 and August 28.
The National Insurance Commission, GLICO General Insurance, Fidelity Bank Ghana, Olam Agric, ARB Apex Bank PLC, Ghana Airport Ltd., and the STL Foundation are among the major donors.
A statement from the presidency said that individual donors like Kennedy Hedoe, Peter Adongo, Mensah Michael, Appaul Wiredu Lateef, Samuel Hodalor, and Dauda Iddi also made contributions, according to Dr. Valerie Sawyerr, Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs and Coordinator of the Fund.
Donations can be made through Stanbic Bank Ghana accounts at the Stanbic Heights Branch in Accra, according to the Presidency.
It further stated that the names of donors will continue to be published once a week and that checks and drafts should be sent to “Children Support Fund 6825.”
To ensure the care and education of the children impacted by the crash, the government established the Children Support Fund.
