ECG Announces Planned Power Outage in Parts of Ashanti Region

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a planned power outage in parts of the Ashanti Region as it carries out scheduled maintenance works aimed at improving electricity supply and service delivery.

According to ECG, the maintenance exercise will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The temporary power interruption will affect Adagya, Esereso, Feyiase, Zoom Lion, Kuwait, Naachia, Sawua, Aprabon, Afia Kobi Market and surrounding communities.

ECG said the planned maintenance forms part of efforts to improve the reliability and quality of electricity services in the affected areas.

Residents, businesses and other electricity consumers within the affected communities are therefore advised to plan accordingly and make the necessary arrangements ahead of the scheduled power outage.

The power company has apologised for the inconvenience the maintenance exercise may cause and expressed appreciation for customers’ understanding and cooperation.
