The vast majority of Ghanaians, according to a recent statewide survey by Global InfoAnalytics, think the nation is headed in the right direction, and their support of the president’s work and the government’s overall performance is rising.

70% of respondents to the June 2025 study believe Ghana is moving in the right direction, which is a considerable increase from the 62% who said the same in April.

However, according to the most recent poll, the percentage of those who think the nation is moving in the wrong direction fell from 26% in April to 20%.

A majority of voters in all regions, with the exception of the Ashanti Region, think the nation is moving in the right direction, according to the data. This is a historic change that transcends conventional political and regional boundaries.

According to the study, 73% of respondents approve of the President’s job performance, while only 19% disagree, which is a significant political breakthrough.

Surprisingly, the president’s popularity has increased in areas that are thought to be significant opposition party strongholds. This is a historic change in Ghana’s polling environment, according to analysts.

Although a small majority of NPP voters (46%) disapprove of the president’s performance, compared to 43% who approve, support for the president was found to transcend party lines.

79% of voters now regard the government’s overall performance as excellent or very good/good, up from 76% in April.

The breakdown reveals:

18% say the government’s performance has been excellent,

61% describe it as very good or good,

10% consider it average, and

11% rate it as poor or very poor.

In contrast, 21% of respondents to the April 2025 survey said the government was great, 55% said it was very good or good, 9% said it was ordinary, and 15% said it was terrible or very poor.

As the nation gets ready for important elections in December, commentators say the survey results show growing popular trust in the leadership and policy direction of the current administration.
