Customers have received an apology from MTN Ghana after a significant technical glitch on Monday, July 1, 2025, caused disruptions to data package sales.
Standard bundle purchases and the new data volume offer, which offered a 15% bonus on data from the same date, were both impacted by the bug.
Many consumers are now temporarily unable to purchase data due to an error that happened during the deployment of the bonus offer, the telecom giant said in a statement posted on Facebook.
“We recognize the importance of staying connected and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause,” MTN stated.
“Our technical teams are working with urgency to resolve the issue and restore services as soon as possible.”
