The Government of Ghana raised GH¢9.98 billion from the latest Treasury bill auction, exceeding its target by 35.55% as investor demand remained strong across the 91-day, 182-day and 364-day bills.
Results of Tender 2016, held on July 17, 2026, for securities to be issued on July 20, 2026, show that total bids tendered amounted to GH¢12.70 billion, compared with a target of GH¢7.36 billion.
The auction was therefore oversubscribed by GH¢5.34 billion, equivalent to 72.51% above target.
The government accepted GH¢9.98 billion of the total bids submitted, rejecting GH¢2.72 billion.
This represented an acceptance rate of 78.57%, suggesting that while demand was strong, the Treasury remained selective in taking bids, particularly across the different tenors.
