In February 2026, Ghana’s year-over-year inflation rate dropped to 3.3 percent, the lowest level since the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rebasing in 2021 and the 14th consecutive monthly fall.

The CPI increased from 255.9 in February 2025 to 264.4 in February 2026, according to figures published by the Ghana Statistical Service.

This indicates that during the course of the 12-month period, the overall price level increased by 3.3%. In February 2026, month-over-month inflation was 0.8%, suggesting that prices increased slightly between January and February of this year.

The February inflation rate is 19.8 percentage points lower than the 23.1 percent recorded in February 2025 and 0.5 percentage points lower than the 3.8 percent reported in January 2026.

Expectations of a long-term macroeconomic recovery are strengthened by the consistent downward trend, which indicates better price stability.
