The annual rate of inflation in August 2023 was 40.1 percent. As a result, the general price level in August 2023 was 40.1 percent higher than it was in August 2022.
Between July 2023 and August 2023, monthly inflation was -0.2%.
The GSS reported a 51.9% increase in food inflation (0.427). Food inflation for the past month was 55.0%.
