A national Inter-Faith Memorial Service is being held today to mark one year since the tragic August 6 helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight distinguished Ghanaians.
The commemorative event is taking place at the UPSA Auditorium in Accra, where government officials, religious leaders, family members, and the public have gathered to pay tribute to the departed heroes and honour their lasting contributions to the nation.
President John Dramani Mahama is expected to deliver a keynote address during the memorial service, reflecting on the sacrifices of the eight victims and reaffirming Ghana’s commitment to preserving their legacy.
The solemn ceremony includes inter-faith prayers, tributes, and moments of remembrance as the country continues to mourn the loss of the eight heroes one year after the fatal helicopter crash.
