National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Mahama has presented a support package meant to boost Ghana’s economy around the clock.

In the event that NDC is elected, the plan’s numerous strategic measures will increase demand for products and services in this industry, thereby energizing enterprises that run around the clock.

At the NDC’s manifesto unveiling on Saturday in Winneba, he made this statement.

Mr. Mahama emphasized that the package will be supported by large investments in energy, security, and infrastructure—all essential for sustaining a robust economy that operates around the clock.

He mentioned that as part of these efforts, public and private security architecture would be improved, guaranteeing a secure atmosphere for both customers and enterprises.

The centerpiece of the package is a “Time-of-Use” tariff system plan, which seeks to give businesses operating during off-peak hours more affordable and dependable electricity. Mahama clarified that this strategy would save operating expenses and motivate more companies to extend their hours.

The NDC flagbearer also pledged tax breaks intended to ease financial strain on companies and foster their expansion. Mahama promised more support for industries including manufacturing and agro-processing through the Ghana Exim Bank, which would provide funding to increase exports and fortify the nation’s industrial foundation.

Mahama’s speech also addressed small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) that aren’t working to their full potential. He promised that these companies will receive catalytic investments under an NDC government, which would help them grow, generate jobs, and make a bigger contribution to the national economy.
