The current administration’s time is over, according to former President John Dramani Mahama, who delivered a stinging indictment of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and asked them to begin drafting their handover notes.

At the University of Education, Winneba, at the unveiling of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) manifesto, Mahama issued the warning, criticizing the NPP for mismanaging the economy, undermining democracy, and plunging millions of Ghanaians into poverty.

With skyrocketing inflation, a declining currency, and mass unemployment, Ghana is on the verge of economic collapse. Former President John Mahama’s remarks mirrored the feelings of many Ghanaians who feel betrayed by the NPP’s unfulfilled promises and lack of transparency.

“We cannot continue on this path,” emphasized Mr. Mahama with regret “Lessons must be learnt from the experience of this last almost eight years. A vote for the NPP will be an expression of satisfaction with the impunity of the last eight years.

“A vote for NPP is a vote for a third term of Nana Akufo-Addo,” Mahama lamented.
