President John Dramani Mahama will meet with religious leaders and civil society organisations on October 3, 2025.
According to a statement released by the President’s Executive Secretary, Dr Callistus Mahama, the meeting would concentrate on illegal mining, or galamsey.
The gathering will take place at 12:00 PM at the Jubilee House.
The purpose of the meeting, according to Dr Callistus Mahama, is to give the government and civil society a forum for open and fruitful discussion on the threat posed by illicit mining.
In order to tackle this national issue, it will assist the government in utilising the collective knowledge, viewpoints, and solutions.
