Mama Yakagbe was a woman warrior, who fought alongside her male counterparts during ”THE DATSUTAGBA WAR”.
She fought so gallantly that on her return, ‘’a chief’s Stool of Valour’’ was created for her. She was reputed to possess supernatural powers which she displayed on the battleground.
Today, her Stool is at ATORKOR (Adela Ako Korpe). and is regarded as one of the powerful Stools of Anlo.
She ranked in valor to ‘’Yaa Asantewa of Asante’’ and other African women of repute.
Tsala, ais Twin brothersTsali (sons of Togbiga Detor Akplormada of Hogbe) and Mama Yakagbe remain three of the greatest Legends of the ANLO-EWES. . . ( Legendary Warrior Dufia of Anyako was one such Anlo Leader)
