The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) has received 10 Apsonic motorcycles from Tamale-based company Oboye Azimah as part of the company’s contribution towards Ghana’s 42nd National Farmers’ Day celebration.
The donation is expected to support agricultural activities and strengthen mobility for officials working to promote agricultural development and food production in Ghana.
Receiving the motorcycles, the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku, expressed appreciation to Oboye Azimah for its support and encouraged other private sector organisations to contribute to the development of Ghana’s agriculture industry.
The Minister said partnerships between the government and private businesses are important in strengthening the agricultural sector, improving support services for farmers and promoting food security in Ghana.
Oboye Azimah Reaffirms Support for Ghana’s Agriculture
The Chief Executive Officer of Oboye Azimah, Imoro Abdul Razak, said the donation demonstrates the company’s commitment to supporting Ghana’s agricultural sector.
He explained that the company remains interested in contributing to initiatives that promote farmers’ welfare, agricultural productivity and rural economic development.
Mr. Abdul Razak also pledged that Oboye Azimah would continue supporting the Ministry of Food and Agriculture as the company expands its operations.
The donation forms part of broader efforts by stakeholders to support Ghana’s agricultural sector and strengthen initiatives linked to the National Farmers’ Day celebration.
