Samini, a Ghanaian reggae and dancehall musician, displays pride as he argues firmly that none of the “big Four” musicians – Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and himself – can surpass the popularity of his famous song, “My Own.”

He believed that none of the named musicians could produce a song that could surpass his favorite track, even in his absence. Samini sincerely feels that, in the world of music, he stands apart from these renowned performers.

“From where I stand, I’m fully focused on my own career, and I don’t place myself on the same level as these guys when it comes to music, you know?” he said, articulating his perspective.

Samini continued by pointing out that it is unreasonable to hold up-and-coming musicians to the same standards as established musicians like himself. He believes it is unrealistic to expect the next generation of artists to immediately achieve his level of accomplishment.

But I feel that pushing these new artists up to my level like that puts too much pressure on them, he said.

Samini answered with unflinching confidence to those who said that his career had slowed down, stating, “Go get a degree and come back.”

He still maintains that no contemporary popular songs, especially “My Own,” can compare to his own and that there haven’t been any big changes to the music industry during his absence.Among the “big four” artists, Stonebwoy’s recent project, “5th Dimension,” received praise from Samini, who also pointed out that it was the only noteworthy release from Stonebwoy’s team.
