Professor Ernest Kofi Abotsi, a renowned lawyer, has characterized the eight individuals who perished in the military helicopter disaster as patriots who sacrificed their lives for the purpose of national service.
He claimed that their mission was correct and their cause was just.
The Ghana Armed Forces have begun a thorough and open inquiry into the crash, which killed eight people, including Environment Minister Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed and Defense Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, according to President John Dramani Mahama.
In his August 7 national speech, President Mahama referred to the fallen officials as “gallant men” who distinguished themselves in their service to Ghana.
Their cause was just and the mission right! They gave up their lives for us to live in an environment devoid of toxins. Now is the time to crush the acts of environmental criminals & say truly never again! Fathers, husbands, patriots, and sons, they rose to the cause of national service and paid the ultimate price. Their deaths cannot be in vain! #RIP, Prof. Kofi Abotsi wrote on X.
