H.E. President Mahama urged the Ghana-EU collaboration to be elevated so that mutually beneficial trade and investment take precedence over aid alone in his keynote speech.

He pointed out that one of Ghana’s most significant trading and investment partners is still the European Union.

H.E. President Mahama further stated that Ghana is striving to become a digital hub in Africa while bolstering democratic government and respect for the rule of law, and that Ghana will continue to implement the essential measures to boost growth in the nation.

The opening remarks were made by Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, who promised that as the year goes on, Ghana and the EU will continue to deepen their collaboration and make even more progress.
