Vincent Assafuah, the MP for Old Tafo, has criticized what he sees as an attempt by the President to sway Parliament’s decisions about the Office of the Special Prosecutor’s future.

In response to recent events, Assafuah said on Facebook that people who had previously said he didn’t comprehend the separation of powers should now reevaluate their stance.

He pointed out that the President is currently attempting to give Parliamentarians instructions on how to perform their duties, which he feels goes against the same values those critics upheld.

Assafuah called on the President to restrict Justice Sai, the Deputy Attorney General, in light of the public outcry over actions connected to the potential elimination of the OSP.
