A discussion with Accra Girls Senior High School students was intended to foster a more profound awareness among young people of the function of Members of Parliament (MPs) and the activities of Parliament.
The goal of the engagement was to clarify the constitutional duties of Members of Parliament, such as representation, oversight, deliberation, and legislation.
This forum helps provide young people with the information they need to make autonomous and well-informed decisions, especially those who are voting for the first time.
Giving pupils a better grasp of the legislative process as the nation gets closer to the next presidential and parliamentary elections will enable them to successfully and actively engage in the electoral process.
