The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning the public about Kangen Water, an unregistered product whose manufacturers assert that it is the only 100% alkaline product on the market.
The manufacturer previously acquired an FDA registration number for the creation of drinking water, according to a statement from the FDA. The manufacturer, however, has chosen to distort the FDA statistic by using it to support the marketing and advertising of its 100% alkaline water, which is said to have medicinal and healing properties.
FDA stated that because the product’s alleged medicinal and restorative properties have not been submitted to any scientific analysis, the Authority cannot vouch for their accuracy and safety.
The Public Health Act of 2012 (Act 851) states that it is illegal to promote food as a preventative measure or treatment for an illness, problem, or abnormal physical condition. Act 851 also forbids advertising for the treatment of illnesses like diabetes, cancer, and hypertension, it was stressed.
