All Ghanaian embassies and high commissions are being urged by the ministry of foreign affairs to establish suitable and compassionate conditions at their establishments.
The ministry claims that the action is a response to the public’s repeated complaints about the treatment of Ghanaian nationals when they apply for visas at foreign missions in Ghana.
“The complaints cover issues such as not providing conducive waiting areas, non-availability of emergency services, long waiting times for appointment dates, as well as challenges in using visa application websites.”.
In a press release, the Ministry said that it has sent an official communication to all embassies and high commissions, asking them to establish suitable and compassionate conditions at their embassies, high commissions, and visa centers in order to allay these worries.
The Ministry anticipates a favorable and suitable response to the request from Foreign Missions.
The Ministry acknowledged that embassies and high commissions retain the authority to choose who they grant visas to, but it said it would keep taking action to make sure they follow the instructions in the Note Verbale.
The Ministry also promised the public that it would take care of the issues raised by Ghanaian visa applicants.
At least 60% of Ghanaians have stated that they would like to go overseas in pursuit of better chances.

Demand for travel firms and VISA application centers that prioritize inflows over service quality is thought to have increased as a result of this circumstance.
In severe situations, the gullible applicants are exploited with little to no consideration for their sincere desire to travel lawfully.
