The 31-day arrears owed to caterers under the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) for the first term of the 2024–2025 academic year have been settled by the government through the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection (MoGCSP).
The government’s prompt transfer of cash to settle the outstanding arrears owed to the caterers was acknowledged by the School Feeding Program Secretariat.
Hajia Fati Forgor, the National Coordinator of the School Feeding Program, thanked donor partners in a statement signed on Wednesday, April 9, for their ongoing assistance and cooperation with the government in order to maintain the program.
Under the direction of the MoGCSP, the School Feeding Secretariat has started to restructure the program in order to meet the government’s pledge to decentralize its operations, enhance the caliber of the food provided, and guarantee uniformity in caterers’ payments.
