To relieve patients with the financial load, the Ministry of Health will launch an endowment fund.

Dr. Bernard Okoe-Boye, the Minister of Health, made this announcement on Monday in Accra when he gave an ambulance to the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) and a 29-seat bus to the Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal Assembly (LEKMA) Hospital.

In order to provide patients with prompt, effective care and lower overall healthcare costs, Dr. Okoe-Boye urged organizations and individuals to make investments in community hospitals.

He claimed that the bus that was provided to the hospital was an attempt to minimize the difficulties that medical personnel have when traveling to treat people.

He pointed out that hospitals in other countries don’t just depend on government funding; they also get support from private citizens and businesses.
