Sister of the late Komla Dumor, Mrs. Mawuena Adzo Trebarh, passed away.
At this point, the circumstances surrounding her death are still unknown.
She died on Thursday, April 11, 2024, according to Graphic.com.gh.
During her tenure as the first female CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), which ran from April 2013 to January 2017, Mrs. Trebarh made notable advancements in her career.
She broke stereotypes as the first female underground exploration geologist and then served as head of Corporate Communications at Ashanti Goldfields Company Ltd. and Newmont Ghana Gold Ltd. prior to this historic appointment.
As the head of Corporate Service at Mobile telecoms Network (MTN), she made contributions to the telecoms industry as well.
She served as Inspire Africa’s first director and chief business strategist.
Mrs. Trebarh passed away one day before her birthday, which is a sad day for her family and coworkers.
Her spouse, Flt LT Divine Trebarh, and their daughter, Katherine Joy, are the only things she leaves behind.
