The Ghana Stock Exchange’s Fixed Income Market saw a total traded volume of 15.52 billion in September 2024, reflecting a 13.39% decline from the previous month.
However, on a year-over-year basis, the market posted a significant 108.01% surge in volume.
Year-to-date, trading volumes have reached 118.76 billion, marking a sharp 100.55% increase compared to the 59.22 billion recorded in the same period last year.
Treasury bills remained the dominant force, accounting for 76.30% of total volumes traded, with government bonds comprising 22.62%. Corporate bonds, while a smaller component of the market, contributed 1.08% to the overall activity during the month.
