President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated that around 70% of the projects under Agenda 111, the government’s flagship program, are at various stages of completion, indicating that the program is being carried out as planned.
With just one month left until he leaves office, he claims that despite the skepticism and doubt expressed about his government’s capacity to undertake such a huge task, he has proven his detractors wrong by seeing that about 70% of the hospitals are practically finished.
As part of his thank-you trip of the Greater Accra Region, President Akufo-Addo revealed this in Accra yesterday while interacting with representatives of the nation’s numerous labor unions.
The Ghana Private Road Transport Unions (GPRTU), the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA), the Health Services Workers Union (HSWU), the Civil and Local Governments Staff Association Ghana (CLOGSAG), and the Industrial and Commercial Workers Union (ICU) were among the unions that attended the meeting.
The others were the Teachers and Education Workers Union (TEWU), the Railway Workers Union (RWU), the Cocoa Research Workers Union (CRWU), and the Timber Workers, Ports, and Allied Workers Union (TWPAWU).
According to President Akufo-Addo, the next elections would provide Ghanaians the chance to decide whether or not to uphold all of the government’s extensive programs, including Agenda111, which aimed to enhance healthcare delivery in the nation.
He clarified that although the main initiatives his government launched might not appear to have put money in people’s pockets in terms of economic statistics, they were actually markers of transformation.
President Akufo-Addo urged voters to carefully consider the policies of all candidates, particularly those of the two front-runners, while canvassing for support for NPP presidential candidate Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
He asked why John Dramani Mahama, the previous president, had not released a roadmap for his main election-related pledge, the 24-hour economy.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) leader, according to President Akufo-Addo, lacked a clear direction for the policies he was promoting as his main initiative.
He consequently urged Ghanaians to vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia over his lack of credibility and inconsistent policies in favor of his credibility and well-focused policies.
